Öykü türü üzerine yapılan kuralmasal incelemelerde, kaynağı destanlara, kıssalara ve söylencelere kadar giden öykünün, süreç içinde biçimsel bakımdan değiştiği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Modern kısa öykü, bir olayı ya da bir durumu esas alabileceği gibi, şiirsel bir üsluba, denemeye ya da röportaja yakın bir biçime de sahip olabilir. Bu durum, türün yapısının esnek olmasıyla ilgilidir. Sait Faik, öykülerinde farklı anlatım biçimlerine yer veren, bu yönüyle Türk edebiyatında türün gelişimine önemli katkıları olan bir öykü ustasıdır. Yazarın, kalsik kurgulu olay, şiirsel bir üslubun hakim olduğu denemeye yakın duran durum ya da sürrealist bir gerçekliğin öne çıktığı öykülerini, kısa öykü bağlamında okuyup değerlendirmek mümkündür. Sanatçının, geleneksel anlatma biçimlerini kullandığı ya da bunun dışına çıkıp anlatım teknikleri bakımından farklı bir anlayışa yöneldiği öyküleri, modern kısa öykünün iki türüne yakın durmaktadır. Klasik kurgu bağlamında olayı esas alan öyküler “yansıma aktarmalı öyküler”, biçimsel bakımdan türün sınırlarını aşan, şiirsel bir üslubu öne çıkaranlar da “lirik öyküler” olarak ele alıp incelenebilir. Bu çalışmada Sait Faik’in öyküleri, kısa öykünün türleri olarak gösterilen “yansıma aktarmalı öyküler” ile “lirik öyküler” bağlamında çözümlenmeye çalışılacak, örnek teşkil eden öyküler üzerinden bir okumaya gidilecektir.

In the theoretical studies on the story genre, it is emphasized that the story, whose source goes back to epics, stories and legends, has changed in terms of form in the process. The modern short story can be based on an event or a situation, or it can have a poetic style, an essay or a form close to an interview. This situation is related to the flexibility of the structure of the species. Sait Faik is a short story writer who influenced the development of the story genre in Turkish literature through his works, established a unique story universe by experimenting different narrative styles in his journey of storytelling, and influenced many story writers with his preferences and tendencies. As confirmed in the researches on the writer's storytelling, the author, whose artistic journey started under the influence of the realistic understanding, moved away from this understanding in a short time, and wrote stories close to essays that gradually adopted a poetic style. Stories in which the artist uses traditional narrative styles or deviates from this and tends towards a different understanding in terms of elements such as narrator, person, time, space and narration techniques, stand close to the two types of modern short stories. Stories based on the event in the context of classical fiction can be considered as "reflective-narrative stories", and those that transcend the boundaries of the genre in terms of form, encompass almost everything and highlight a poetic style can be considered and analyzed as "lyrical stories". In this study, Sait Faik's stories will be analyzed in the context of "reflective-narrative stories" and "lyrical stories", which are shown as types of short stories, and a reading will be made on exemplary stories.
